I love how they included the horse hoof sound effect, just like it actually was in the game when that one horse galloped around the corral just nonstop.

For some people, it's real easy to have gotten them confused, but since PH was my first Zelda game, I just kinda know the songs apart practically instinctively.

This... is beyond description. I merely have to say... I WANT TO LEARN THIS SONG SO BAD A3SGFV9N.GB>DSZ3*SVLKN;TM2A8P

This sounds a whole lot like something by John Williams.

All agreed. Although, since I heard this way before I knew anything of the franchise, for the longest time I thought that Ganon's theme and the Serenade of Water were actually part of the original.

Has never been this epic.

To specify, I meant hitting their projectiles back.

Concerning Ridley, I refer you to

And yes, he was a close runner up. However, the fridge creepy inherent in the aforementioned "possessing girls" thing, coupled with the fact that I'd already given him an award, was enough to change my decision. But yeah, I would definitely say that Best Boss Music would go to Bellumbeck.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Fri, 2012 Dec 07 - 13:15

I forgot Zant- again! Just for that, I'll give him two awards.
Uncanny Valley Award: Zant (without helmet)
Most Easily Forgettable: Zant

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Fri, 2012 Dec 07 - 13:10

I did forget Zant! Silly me. Hmmm... what can I say about him? It was fun to watch him at the beginning of the game, when he's all floaty and poised and stuff, but then when you get to his boss battle, he's just flailing around like a crazy man. So, here are the standings:
Best Character Development: WW Ganon
Best-Dressed: Vaati
Best Personality: Ghirahim
Most Successful: Ganon
Most Homicidal: Majora (ignoring BEN)
Creepiest Behavior: TP Ganon/Malladus, with Ghirahim close runner-up
Freakiest-Looking: Bellum
Most Interesting Concept: Dark Link, with Shadow Nightmares runner-up
Most Persistent: Demise

Best Overall Villain: I'll leave it to you all to decide.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Fri, 2012 Dec 07 - 04:09

That depends on your definition of villainy. If you define it as pure homicidalism, then Majora may take the cake. Everyone else just wants to conquer the world- Majora actually wanted to DESTROY it. If you want in terms of best character, then I believe you want TWW Ganondorf. They actually gave him a backstory and kind of excuse as to why he was. I do like Ghirahim, simply because of his personality. Vaati... had a fairly good boss battle, I'll give him that. And TP Ganon and Malladus are kind of creepy, what with the whole "possessing girls" thing. Dark Link was an interesting idea on Nintendo's part, and so were the Shadow Nightmares. And Bellum? Bellum was an abomination. I think I'd call him freakiest villain yet. But Demise may have to win something for his sheer persistence. Lost a humongous battle with a deity, took the Master Sword through the forehead, got sealed into the sword and kept at bay by Fi's consciousness, and he's still causing problems thousands of years later.

The title and the music combined in my head to give me a picture of Link and Ganondorf playing tennis- not 'dead man's volley' (the term for when the way to defeating a boss is hitting them back), actual tennis.

I believe we have just made this the single most commented-on song on RH.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Sat, 2012 Dec 01 - 03:28

I'll gladly give you my Facebook, but not in an indelible comment. If you could just pop on over to the chatroom, I'll just divulge it there.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Sat, 2012 Dec 01 - 03:20

Oh. Maybe once you're finished, you can find somewhere to put it? But in the meantime, I guess I'll just have to imagine... but what you've made so far sounds beyond amazing. Until then!

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Sat, 2012 Dec 01 - 03:11

No, silly! I meant put a link to wherever you're writing this. (Although your idea would be good too.) Or are you not doing it online?

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Sat, 2012 Dec 01 - 02:56

Since I am a 14-yr old 9th grader too!

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Sat, 2012 Dec 01 - 02:54

Sweet! Could you guys link to your fanfics? That sounds like something I'd love to read!!! (BTW, that's very nice that your teacher thinks you're a good writer.)

1. I am aware MC/4S/4SA Vaati is male- I was referring to you. But if you want to be his daughter, I'll roll with that. (And I enjoy fake scenarios as well.)
2. Of course, the obvious answer is Link, as he's the protagonist. On reflection, my username seems to point that way too. But I don't feel fair making the decision without hearing XO's point of view. I'll wait until he comes back. (Unless, like you, 'he' is also female. In which case the representation of the Triforce is out.)
3. Concerning your parentage, I really have no idea. My best guess is that (assuming you're familiar with Minish Cap's backstory) perhaps Vaati (the real Vaati) had hitherto married a Minish before he became Ezlo's apprentice. And you had probably been raised by a single Minish mother, as Vaati had gone to the human world in search of the light force, but was subsequently defeated by the 2nd (or 3rd, or 4th) Link. That only leaves the question of how you entered the human world... perhaps through the portal your father used?
4. That is funny...

You sound like Ghirahim. Just thought I'd mention.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Fri, 2012 Nov 30 - 23:16

If Vaati's a girl... that means her, XOrdinary, and I represent the complete Triforce! The only question is, Am I Power or Courage?

What I really like about this song is the story it tells. A story of pure and simple love. this is what love should mean- just two people enjoying each other's company. Not what "love" means nowadays- nothing but lewd and flashy physical gratification. You don't need to be "hot"- you just need a person who feels the same way about you as you them. Someday, may we all find that person.

Me too! I'm a pianist, and I'm trying to teach myself Zelda songs with the help of some of thomandy's vids. (If you've never heard of him, you've been seriously missing out. Go check out his channel- NOW.) Maybe I could find this somewhere, although not likely. But besides that, very excellent piece of work.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Tue, 2012 Nov 27 - 23:20

I'll be darned- I feel the same way! I request tons too, and much of the same stuff. Vaati, you have found a kindred spirit. It's always nice to come across someone just like you on the Internet. Maybe we'll see each other on the chatroom sometime?

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Thu, 2012 Nov 15 - 23:30

That's alright. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. If you think she can't sing, then you think she can't sing. I'm not going to come to your house and burn it down or anything.

If you want to see more great lyrics for Zelda songs, go check out OoTFreak1 on Youtube. I really can't recommend her enough.

I really love that too. Not much thought ever gets given to PH. It's kind of overshadowed by Wind Waker because they have the same characters and similar music. But I love it all the same. PH was my first Zelda game, and while I wasn't a fan then, I like to think that it started me on the long road to being what I am now- a diehard Zelda fan to the core.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Mon, 2012 Nov 05 - 23:11

Me too! That CD is the most amazing thing to ever visit my music player. I cannot think of any way that it could have improved. Except maybe having an OoT Medli (pardon the pun) along with it.

Submitted by HylianSwordsman1 on Mon, 2012 Nov 05 - 23:07

If you thought you'd never like lyrics to Zelda music, then you obviously have never watched any of OoTFreak1's videos. She is amazing- I really do urge you to go check out her channel.

Yeah. That trailer was put up as an April Fool's joke. Although the trailer was epically amazing, there are no plans for any Zelda movie anytime soon. Chances are, any rumors of a movie are another April Fool's.

Wow. That is... amazing.

Does anybody know if this is the same C418 who does the Minecraft music?
